Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (2 days)
This nationally regulated two-day qualification gives people responsible for babies and children the practical skills and confidence to respond safely and effectively to paediatric emergencies.
Course Overview
The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course has been developed for people who care for babies and children, including teachers, childminders, crèche assistants, nursery and playgroup staff, and anyone with responsibility for a child’s welfare. Learners must be at least 16 years old. No previous first aid qualification or experience is required, but learners must attend both days and complete Units 1 and 2.
This course meets the guidelines and criteria set by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. Assessment is ongoing throughout the course through practical demonstrations, supported by a multiple-choice question paper. Successful learners receive a nationally regulated Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, subject to assessment.
