Course Overview

The three-day Level 3 First Aid at Work course is designed for employees nominated as workplace first aiders, particularly within larger or higher-risk environments where an employer’s first aid needs assessment identifies the need for fully qualified first aiders.

Learners develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to assess incidents and respond safely to a wide range of emergencies

No previous first aid qualification or experience is required, although learners must be able to participate in practical activities and attend all three days. Assessment is completed through practical demonstrations and written assessments. Successful learners receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, valid for three years and suitable for supporting an employer’s responsibilities under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
